Environmental Engineering
Scope of Service
Affordable. Reliable Turn Around Times. Requirement Compliance.
Our staff of Certified and Licensed Professional Geologists are involved in a wide range of engineering projects that assess the potential environmental impact and risk that may exist on a property including facilities and on raw land. Our findings, prepared in accordance with ASTM E 1527-21, are used by funding sources to determine the viability of lending or investing in projects. The services we provide to Developers, Equity & Insurance firms range from the previous releases of a wide variety of contaminants to current potential contaminants that will increase borrowers and lenders environmental risk. These contaminants include but are not limited to petroleum products, polychlorinated biphenyls (PCBs) and many other volatile and carcinogenic compounds.
Metropolitan is also equipped to provide Subsurface Hydrostatic Testing and Analysis in accordance with ASTM requirements. Our environmental experts are adept at communicating with government agencies for any remediation of contaminated properties.
Our engineering practice is national and has completed engineering projects in all 50 states. Our teams of geologists possess the highest recognized credentials.
Certified Professional Geologists are utilized to sample, analyze and report all manner of indoor air quality, including but not limited to: asbestos, lead based paint, radon, mold and water testing.
The Environmental Engineering Services provided by Metropolitan Solutions also embraces certain construction elements. Our team of Professional Engineers and Architects perform Property Condition Assessments (PCA’s) to determine the building and component conditions as well as life expectancy and estimated future costs. Our clients who are financial lenders are then able to determine appropriate levels of cash reserves that borrowers need to maintain to provide appropriate property maintenance to continue repayment of any loans.
The strength of Metropolitan Solutions in these assessments is that we identify the existence of an issue, and we also make recommendations of options to address those issues including a cost benefit analysis that allows our clients to make the decision that will offer the best cost versus risk solution.

Let’s Talk About ~40%
“Over the past 10 years, our Environmental Engineering Group has been asked to review competitor’s Phase II Site Assessment Proposals. Approximately 40% of the time, the Phase II recommendations, along with their associated costs, are incorrect and not needed.”
