Training – Our History
From the beginning of the company, Metropolitan Solutions has provided environmental health and safety training. The training programs provided by the company have been vetted and approved by numerous state agencies as well as the United States Department of Labor. Classes are presented in a variety of mediums including computer based training (CBT) 2-way video which allows for students in multiple cities to receive live instruction simultaneously and to be able to interact with the instructor. We also provide traditional classroom training in each of our office locations.
Metropolitan has been very involved in workforce development. Classes provide the necessary credential for students to acquire licenses to work in asbestos, lead paint and hazardous material industries. The fact that Metropolitan is the only firm to have been granted permission to present regulated classes via 2-way video by the United States Department of Labor is a testament to the quality of the instructional programs that we offer our students.
Let’s talk about Instructor-Led Training benefits.
Respirator Fit Testing-Industrial
Convenient and affordable, Metropolitan Solutions’ Industrial Fit Testing aligns to the key areas required by the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard. The fit testing process validates the efficacy of a respirator and determines the appropriate respirator for your employee’s protection on a work site or during a particular work activity. This is achieved by uncovering whether the respirator provides an adequate seal on the employee’s face and the amount of a potential contaminant leakage into the facepiece through the face seal. A successful fit test qualifies an employee to use a specific brand/make/model and size of respirator worn during the test.
Respirator Fit Testing-Healthcare
At Metropolitan Solutions, we have documented experience with the demands and testing needs of large healthcare facilities. Convenient and affordable, Metropolitan Solutions’ Healthcare Fit Testing aligns to the key areas required by the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard to keep healthcare employees safe and to reduce facility liability. Convenient and affordable, Metropolitan Solutions utilizes precise, computerized fit testing to ensure your healthcare facility is aligned with federal and state occupational health regulations.
Our service covers all of the key areas that employers must address as required by the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.
We provide DIGITAL QUANTITATIVE testing to ensure precise and accurate results.
All testing is completed on-site and during a day and time that is convenient for the staff and facility’s schedule. Scheduling can be completed online and is available 24/7.
Our testing service pricing is straightforward and includes all services required by the OSHA Respiratory Protection Standard.
Scope of Service
We offer on-site DIGITAL QUANTITATIVE fit testing for groups of 5 to 5,000+ people using the latest OSHA protocols.
Fit Test Records
We provide an electronic copy of every test result for your protection program and we remind you when your certification is about to expire.
Online Medical Evaluations
Our medical evaluations establish the clearance level for all staff members using a respirator as required by OSHA. It is completed online and is available 24/7 to fit your scheduling needs.
With our online scheduling service, staff members can book their respirator fit test whenever it’s convenient for their schedule.
Detailed online training educates staff members on the respiratory hazards to which they are potentially exposed, the proper use of the respirator and how to ensure the respirator is in proper working order.
Qualitative versus Quantitative Fit Testing
At Metropolitan Solutions, QUANTITATIVE fit testing is our preferred method to ensure accurate results. In quantitative testing, the respirator is attached to a machine that is used to interpret and record leakage results, and if these results do not meet the necessary criteria, they are determined to be unusable in real-world hazardous situations.
